It’s June.
Which means half the year is already behind us.
Back in January, a lot of attorneys had plans.
Grow the firm.
Delegate more.
Improve intake.
Reduce stress.
Modernize operations.
Spend more time practicing law and less time putting out fires.
Then the year happened.
Cases piled up.
Clients needed attention.
Staff issues appeared.
Deadlines moved to the top of the list.
And suddenly it’s June.
The legal industry is changing quickly right now.
But interestingly, most firms aren't struggling because they lack information.
They're struggling because they haven't had time to implement what they already know.
That's the challenge.
Not the knowing, but the doing.
The second half of the year tends to move faster than the first.
Which makes June a useful checkpoint.
Not to ask:
“What should we be doing?”
But:
“What have we been putting off?”
Sometimes the biggest improvements don't come from new ideas.
They come from finally acting on old ones.
Until next time,
